  • I am Juan Torres, 10th year teacher at Pomona Catholic, previously at Our Lady of Lourdes in Montclair and St. Paul HS in Santa Fe Springs.  I am a Class of ‘81 graduate of Arroyo HS in El Monte. My high school cross country program was deemed the team of the 80s having won numerous CIF titles—including national #1 rankings and the first ever California State Champion—in that decade.  I was also a member of the state championship cross country team at Citrus College, and I set the conference record in the 3000 m steeplechase my sophomore year. I went on to compete at CSU Fullerton and was the number two/three man on the team.  I was named captain of the team at each school that I ran cross country.  At St. Paul HS most every track distance record has set while I was coach.  I have two daughters who have attended PC: Sara, Class of 18, and Katherine, Class of 21, who has been a key member of the varsity volleyball team.

  • I am Coach Roger Wallace. I am beginning my 31st year teaching at Pomona Catholic.  In my time here I have coached golf for almost 10 years. Previously was the softball coach as well…where we won multiple CIF titles as well as a state championship. Golf is a passion of mine and I like to have the girls learn and develop a love for the game as well.

  • Coach Saucedo grew up in Los Angeles and later moved to Pomona where she attended I-Poly and transferred to Walnut High School. The first in her family to attend college. She graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Social Sciences and Social Ecology, attended graduate school at Azusa Pacific University, and completed her doctorate in Education, and Organizational Leadership at the University of La Verne.

Passionate about learning and physical fitness. She developed a love for tennis as it has pushed her to improve her mental toughness through strategizing against opponents. Veronica actively leads adult tennis teams and has competed in The Police and Fire Championships where she obtained a gold medal. She was recently selected to play in the United States Tennis Association’s National Championships. She actively competes in local tournaments and is enthusiastic to mentor and develop our ladies at Pomona Catholic. Let’s go Pacers!
